The Bears

Things are looking great!

With the season only a few short days away I have to say if the weather gets cool we are going to have a good season. With all the baits we have out there is only one not getting hit. I attribute this to some very sneaky dog hunters running a road were that one is. This year the natural food sources aren't as abundant in our area so the bears are lapping up the bait. Trail cams showed 6 bears on one bait and numerous others with 4. Only 2 with sows and cubs . Dave and I are using about 800 pounds of dounuts each day along with 20 gals of caramel. The tree stand s are in and the ground blinds have been brushed in so we are ready for the first wave of hunters to arrive. The new lodge is looking sweet and the game pole is ready to see some action.
