Moose and deer

Guide TalkAntlers

Been noticing lately that the moose are already starting to beat the brush. I found a little patch of velvet from one yesterday. It still amazes me how those animals can grow those giant racks in such a
short period. Moose will grow about a inch of antler per day.
While I was baiting on tuesday I saw a very respectful buck maybe 135 class tear across a skidder path with a doe . They were feeding in the briars and I didn't see them till I was almost on top of them. They were so close I almost dropped my bait buckets. This spot I have never hunted but it had lots of sign last year so maybe I can get some stands up there. This time of year always goes to fast .I wait 365 days for it to roll around and before I know it's over. Thats okay though, getting to spend every day in the woods is what I thrive on.
